It is amazing how quickly life can get away from us! My last blog update was in January 2010 and here it is August already. Where does the time go anyway? Pam has gone back and posted some pictures for each months happenings...but not all the happenings have pictures. So, we will update a little here before you see our pictures...
An update on my mom, Chad's mom and dad...AND Anderson Meat Company.
My mom is doing well. Mom and Dennie returned home to CO in April and have been doing some traveling since then. They have gone to MN and on shorter bike trips and camping trips, too...they will take the GoldWing and head to Branson soon. Always on the go and they keep moving. Mom is feeling well, however with changes in her meds and altitude, we see her get tired often. She still remains to be our, "Miracle Lady" proof that God does answer prayers.
On a side note...mom had an ECHO the other day and got news that her heart is now functioning at an amazing 40%! When she left the Banner Baywood Hospital after he cardiac arrest it was functioning at only 20%...Another thing to be thankful for! WOW! God continues to amaze us!
Chad's dad is continuing to be strong and carry on with his cancer. He gets out and about in his new, red, convertable Mustang he bought this spring. The Anderson Family had a get together and presented Harry with his Memorial site on Ball Bute Hill for Father's Day. Something he has wanted done and he has it finished and was able to see the Cross on the hill that over looks his property. Harry still gets "winded" but seems to do pretty well. We hope to go to ND this fall...soon. (The picture posted above is of Harry's Memorial Site.)
Chad's mom...June went to AZ to spend the winter in the nice warm weather and ended up staying alomost her entire winter in an AZ Hospital with a Staph infection in her body. We still are not sure where it came from, but we know we came close to loosing her this winter...it has been a battle she has not given up on yet. She made it back to ND this spring only to discover her knee had staph. They had to remove her knee replacement and she is still without a knee. They are hoping to get that back in in another 6 weeks or so. She will be one happy lady to finally go home. God has been busy in our family keeping us all going...Thank you, God!
In December, Chad begun to pray about the new year and his job at Compassion and was lead to leave his work at Compassion after being there for 17 years...Not knowing what we/he would do for a job, but decided that was where he was being lead. So, the talk and process began...In March, Chad's brother, Randy (who has been delivering Buffalo meat to CO for almost 10 years) decided he wasn't going to do that anymore...AND began Anderson Meat Company. (Check out our web site http://www.andersonmeat.com/ ) Chad and Randy decided that Chad would now run the meat business in CO. It has been a challenging summer for us as Chad is still working, full time plus at Compassion ,and will until October 1st. Working full time and running a full time business has been a bit "time consuming!" Pam is experiencing working mom's life and it has been a bit hard on us all. Pam has also begun to home school this week and that will also add to the schedule of all the things we have to do. Scott is in Kindergarten, so that adds one more kid to the mix...Seth is in 6th and Sara is in 4th. Growing up so fast!
We love all our family and friends and wish for you all to be blessed continually!
